CBD or Cannabidiol was discovered in 1940.

It is one of over 100 identified compounds known as cannabinoids that occur naturally in the cannabis plant.

CBD can be extracted, mixed with a carrier oil (hemp seed, coconut or olive) to create CBD oil.

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is another cannabinoid – This is the psychoactive compound that is commonly known for its head high.

CBD is not psychoactive and it won’t make you ‘high’ – the sensation most commonly associated with cannabis.
